Full & Partial Dentures
Do missing teeth or dentures that don’t fit your mouth properly cause embarrassment and discomfort? It’s hard to believe, but one missing tooth or ill-fitting denture can also change your lifestyle because it becomes hard just to eat and speak normally.
We know that your smile is unique, so we don’t create one-size-fits-all dentures. Dentures at George Family Dentistry are customized to fit the shape of your face and jaw and even complement your facial features. Working with you, we’ll create a comfortable set of full or partial dentures that fit well, blend perfectly with your smile, and allow you to speak and chew again with confidence.
Modern Dentures That Fit Your Needs
There are basically two types of dentures – full and partial. Both are removable and are used to restore function and appearance lost by missing teeth. We use partials if a few teeth are missing and complete dentures when you’re missing all your upper and lower teeth.
We can create a set of immediate dentures, which are formed and ready to be put in place as soon as all teeth are removed. This means that you don't have to worry about living without teeth while your gums heal. If your older dentures feel like they’re loose and moving around more than usual, Dr. George can also improve the fit by performing a simple reline of the old dentures.
Replacing Old Dentures
Old dentures that don’t fit well lead to pain and discomfort when you speak and chew. Since they no longer fit properly, they may also cause your face to sag, wrinkle, and generally look older than you are. It’s not unusual for old dentures to gradually lose their fit and need replacement, because the shape of your jaw can change over time.
Comfortable, Natural-Looking Dentures
Our customized dentures are carefully made at a respected dental lab by skilled and experienced technicians. They use advanced materials to create dentures that look and feel as much like natural teeth as possible.
Each denture consists of a resin base that closely matches the appearance and color of your natural gums. The artificial replacement teeth are placed securely in the base one at a time for a natural appearance.
Before we take the first step in the dentures process, we will take time to talk to you about your expectations. You are part of the process every step of the way, and we work with you to customize your dentures so that they complement your face, your skin tone, and even your eye color.
